My big female motoro freshwater stingray just had her pups last night April 15th, 12:05 AM. 2 males and 2 females. She has taken forever to have them but finally did. Their gestation period is only suppose to be 90 days and she held hers for over 120. But anyway here to show you that freshwater can be cool too...Pic heavy

Adam they are actually a little bit smaller then average baby size.. Waverz Idk what your talking about but this motoro hybrid was made on accident harder to come by compared to regular motoros but there are other freshwater rays out there way harder to find compared to her. Fishbrain the babies may be for sale depending if the person has the right size setups for them...I haven't decided if I wanted to sell any of them yet, but 7 mouths to feed can get expensive.

Let me know if you do decide to sell I am verry interested in a pair. If I got them they would be going into a 75 gal set-up.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys.. I feed them blood worms, crushed up krill, tiny cut up pieces of worms, sinking pelletes, and shredded up shrimp. But yea as they get bigger they love to chase around guppies and especially ghost shrimp. Here in a lil bit when the water gets warmer I usually catch them little crawldeads and minows for them to catch. The bigger ones go nuts for crawldeads its their favorite. Its also pretty neat to see them hunt and catch fish, every once in a while I'll go to the pet store and buy a dozen feeder goldfish just to keep them on their toes.

Hey Bill I'll keep you posted on if I decide to sell them. That 75 will only hold two baby rays for about 6 to 8 months... your going to need something bigger. I have mine in a 180 and Ive been looking for a bigger tank (wider) for awhile now just waiting for the right price, can't really afford much right now. Plus babies like this are very sensitive to everything and easily stress and die. So Im going to make sure they are eating well and grow a little bit before I let them go, no one wants to buy baby rays (usually) because they can be so hard to get eat if they stress out in the move and everything like that. You don't want to make a big purchase and lose them.

Hey Trevor, go to the farm impliment store and get a 300 gallon stock tank for them. I got one for my sump and it was only $200 brand new. It is almost 6' in diameter and would work great for rays. At some point in time, I am going to put a saltwater ray in there.

Hey Trevor, go to the farm store and pick up a rubbermaid stock tank for them. I got a 300 gallon one for $200 brand new from them. It is almost 6' in diameter and works great for stingrays. I am using mine as a sump for now and will probably be putting a saltwater ray in there sometime soon.

Those are cool. By "crawldead" do you mean crawdad? Use to catch them all the time as a kid in Cali. Where do you go to catch them out here?

Do you mean "crawdads"? I use to catch those all the time as a kid in California. Where do you go to catch them out here? I believe you are in Ames, right? I would also be interested possibly in some babies, though I admittedly know very little about them. What is the tank size requirement? I have never done fresh, only salt, but I don't imagine it is any harder?
