Got my new camera yesterday and finally got to mess around with it a little bit.  I'm pretty impressed with it so far but found out that most of the skill is in the photographer and not the camera! ;)

I def. have a lot of learning to do but at least I have a good camera now on which I can learn with.

Here's the specs (which I really don't have any idea what they mean) for those of you that may want to know:

Shutter speed: 1/80
Aperture value:  3.2
Exposure compensation:  0
ISO Speed:  250
Focal Length:  14.8 mm

All I really did was crop the picture:

How are you doing the B&W with selective color thing? Photoshoping?

My camera is a Canon G9 ÂHERE


The first two pics were taken using the color select mode on the camera. You can pick a color and only accent that color and it will turn the rest B&W. The last one of Christopher I used GIMP and actually did that one by hand.

Cool, nice shots there.

I recently dove into the D-SLR world. I'm still an amateur at best but I can't see doing it any other way now.
