This is the first shot I've taken of the setup. Built the stand and have all the plumbing ready. Just need to set up my RODI and resevoir system, put the skimmer in then get rocks and sand.

So I'm going to have to redo the overflow plumbing underneath I think and run it at a more downward angle. Did my first fill test last night and the good news was no leaks. The bad news is that my durso pipe is flushing, which as I gather means the water is backing up in the pipe on the way to the sump or I need bigger/more siphon holes in the top of the durso.

Wow it looks brand new. Must be running reef breeder leads?

Yeah it is nearly flawless. I don't know that either of the prior owners used it much. I think they decided on getting bigger display tanks before using the sump. And the light is a Photon48 I picked up from Donavon.

Not sure yet. I'm going for a few LPS at first and then add SPS after the tank has matured around a year. I don't have much SPS experience from my prior reef tanks so I am looking to eventually focus on that with this tank and see what works.

So I fixed the plumbing, the overflow is functioning perfectly now. The bad news is I had to move the sump closer to the left side to shorten the overflow line so I have to remount my lights for the algae scrubber.

Glad someone close to me has my sump! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif lol you're actually owner number 4! The guy I got it from is jnjsad who had it set up on a 60 gallon rimless semi-cube. I think he used it for about a year or so, then decided to sell the tank. Unfortunately, the tank was broken when I moved to Urbandale from Fort Dodge... /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/sad.gif I had it set up for about four months prior to moving. The sump was then used on my 29 gallon for about four months before I decided to get out of reefing from the time being. Looks like Roman really cleaned it up nice! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif Best wishes! Is that light Donovan's?

That sump is number 1. I cleaned it up and never used it. Bought a bigger sump to accommodate my equipment better . When building my Dual cube setup I kept buying different equipment to better suit my needs and along the way I came along another sump another skimmer bigger return pump etc. You get the picture. I thought you would have had that setup a long time ago.

Is the pvc in the middle for your algae scrubber?

Oh I wish I had it set up around November as that was the plan, but at the time we decided to sell the house then decided not to sell it so that delayed me setting it up. Yeah, the pvc is the scrubber. The light is the one Donovan was selling. Nice to know the sump should have its own passport, I've adopted him for now.

Got my RODI and water change/ATO system setup. The Air Water Ice system works great. It's producing almost exactly 75gpd.

Reef saver rock from BRS put together. Some sand added but going to have to rinse another 150lbs or so over the next couple days as I make RODI for it. Then it will be hook all the gadgets up, make saltwater and start to cycle.

Sweet looking setup. Been thinking about a scrubber, Can you post a couple pics of your algae scrubber?
