    We will be having our October Meeting on the 25th at @tangers@tangers place in Ankeny!

    Same time!

    The building is set back from the road, right across from Charles Gabus Ford, about 1 block East of Merle Hay Rd. Enter through the main entrance (you will see Brown Engineering on the window) and go down the stairs. We will meet in the conference room which is to the right and down the hall once you enter the office.

    Slight change in plans! But for the better I promise!

    We will be looking at the different test kits that are available in the hobby! The club will be raffling off a Hanna Checker - Alkalinity for those members who are able to attend.

    @tangers@tangers will also be smoking some pulled pork... more details to come shortly if you're interested in bringing a side. After the meeting, our hosts have graciously opened up for a socializing (BYOB) to just hang out afterwards and have a good time.

    Let us know if you can attend so they can get a headcount for the pork! Also if you use a unique test kit, let us know if you're willing to bring it with you to show the group why you like it.

    Test Kits that will be available at the meeting:
    Hanna phosphate, Ca, Alk
    Red sea pro Alk, Ca, Mg, potassium, iodine
    Salifert Ca, Mg, Alk
    Seachem Ca

    So im not a paid member (plan to be soon) but if i go to the fall fest, am i unable to go to the january meet even though its technically a diff year?

    You can attend one event as an unpaid member, it's not something that resets every year.

    Fests do not count, because if you're not a member, you have to pay for admission

    We will have it Oct 25th at @tangers@tangers place in Ankeny

    We will do salt mixes and test kits.

    @tangers@tangers please respond with a time you are available to start and address of your place.

    For the @Region: Des Moines & Ames please respond if you are able to make it thanks

    Ok I closed the poll then created the event and merged the planning thread into the event thread. Interestingly enough it didn't choke, having the poll and event together at the top, so that's good!

    Anyways, once we get the location and time squared away, I'll update that in the event listing.

    @Fence13@Fence13 you'll probably want to edit the 1st post with that information and general info about the meeting (what to bring, etc) when we have that.

    Also @tangers@tangers wont have every salt mix so when you reply if you are coming let us know what salt you use and if your willing to bring some to test thanks

    I edited the address so that it shows up on the map as well

    As we discussed at the FF Planning meeting, this is going to be a Test Kit meeting only, we are not going to all bring various mixtures of saltwater to test against each other. We're just going to plan on using water from @tangers@tangers' tank. But feel free to bring a generous sample of your own tank water and test it with various kits!
