This is going to be fun!

 

Sounds like so much fun I'm going to take off work that evening to attend. So count me in. I like pepperoni, ground beef, and onion, but I'm not picky.

I think I should have gotten an email when this region was tagged in the post, but so far I haven't. Someone may want to check into that.

Just Google Texas Hold 'em. There are tournaments on TV all the time, so there are lots of videos of professionals playing the game. You can see they're cards and watch how they play. You'll be an expert in no time.

 

Sounds awesome, but I'm just through cycling my first reef tank in about 8 years, so I'm just starting to be ready to add new corals. Can't wait till I have enough to participate though!

 

The buy-in is restrictive. You have to be actively propagating coral to take part. That excludes people like myself who have no corals on a frag rack, and like Jaime who just finished cycling. There are probably others.

Not complaining.. just food for thought. We all know membership is down and we’re trying to encourage people to attend events, so just some feedback for future events. I applaud you for carrying the torch for our region.

 

If there are still empty slots, the rest of us should put our heads together and find some way for those who don't have frags to participate. I'm not at the point where I can propagate corals either, but fortunately I have a small piece of live rock with some hitchhiker zoas on it. If I had extra frags, I would offer to bankroll you guys. I'm not saying someone needs to do that, but maybe someone could bring a couple extra inexpensive frags so you could buy your way in.

 

Yeah I’m fish only right now and want to keep it that way for a while. No love for the FOWLR peeps lol

I could go buy a small coral just for this but don’t want corals. I may go just to mooch pizza and provide commentary
