AI Fans

I noticed that the fans on my AI lights are running this morning. The lights have been off for 12 hours. Are they supposed to do that?

 

Wrote AI after posting this. Already got a reply---Completely normal! That's good news.

On my first AI SOL the fan NEVER came on. I thought it was probably because it is hanging freely in the air, in my basement. I wrote AI about it, they told me 'perfectly normal'

Then I got a second AI SOL and hooked it up last week. The fan runs when the other lights fan is not running. Hmmm. Now I am thinking my first fan is defective and the whole unit is probably damaged because it has never been cooled properly.

 

I have 5 of them, and never have I seen nor heard the fans come on. I only run my whites at 25% and my blues at 40% tho.
