Which do you use and which brand is better for cleaning your glass?

This posted before was done[IMG] I am trying to figure out which brand is best for magnetic glass cleaning. I have 3/4" Starphire glass and need a strong magnet and good cleaning but don't want to get scratches.... I want to know what brands you've used and liked or disliked and why.

I seen a lot of people use the magfloat to clean the glass and from talking with them they like it but if you have stubborn Algae then they said it dont work on getting it off. They said you have to get the good ol razor blade out for that. I have seen on the Internet there are razor blade adapters you can put on the magfloats so it all gets done at once.

I have both. Definitely the algea free magnet especially with that thick of glass. don't want to have to go scuba diving in your tank. The magnets in the algea free are far more superior grip the glass. I thought I had seen someone selling the hammerhead one on this site a while back.

Best you can get imo. They make other mad cleaners feel like toys.

Havent had the luxury of trying the tiger shark, but I just got an aqueon magnet and am not impressed. Although the aqueon is powerful, I like magfloats better. The aqueon is designed to sink if it gets dropped (I didn't realize this). The first time I used it I had to stick my arms in the tank to retrieve it. It's also more difficult to go around the corners than the mag float is.

As for not scratching the glass, that is one of the primary reasons I keep barebottom tanks...it's nearly impossible to avoid from happening. Best thing you can do is make sure you don't use it near the sand (or let it get in the hands of someone who think its fun to play with and doesn't know better).

I've had Magfloats and an Algae free The AlgaeFree is much nicer, but still does not remove coraline(at least in my experience).
I saw another one called a flip or something that has a blade on one side, that could be nice. Don't know if it is available in the size you'd need though.

I would definitely get one that floats.
