I was doing some reading about available LED options and came across these.  Just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience or heard of anybody else's experiece.  Haven't found a whole lot on the net about them, it looks like the website obtained sole distributorship.

Well they seem to use CREE bulbs, which are as close to "tried and true" as you are going to get with LED tech in our hobby currently, but those prices are rough. Almost $150 for a string of 5?

I would have to agree a string of five at $150 seems little high. considering you can buy 5 XPG Crees for $35 + $25 for a meanwell driver and $5 for a small  heat sink to put them on for  total of $65. You can definitely do it alot cheaper if you can DIY. The only way I could justify the price is if they were the newer MC-E lights that run about $20 an LED. IMHO those LEDS are way to powerful for a reef systems. But then again I'm expert either /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

Myself and two coworkers run them. One uses 7 strips on a 110 5'. One is running 6 strips plus a big power compact on a 220 6' , he plans to get six more. I run three plus a big power compact on a 125 6'. I plan to get six more or sell mine for some aquailluminations. The controller, which is optional for the aquarays is 300 clams. The controller for ai is $80. Craigs store runs some pretty good deals on the ai set ups. If I had it to do over I would go ai but that being said I am still very happy with my aqua rays. Im starting to hear alot about rapid led but I believe they are a diy. Hope this helps, Quam
