Keep in mind I have tried all kinds of different solinoid valves from stainless steel to PVC they all fail pretty quickly on saltwater applications usually around the 3 month or less range. that's why I went with a litter meter for my auto water change setup. The small stainless spring in the solinoid gets corroded quickly by the saltwater and small particles in the saltwater block the diaphragm from closing eventually. I think you would be better off using a PVC actuated ball valve instead

    Ninjazx,. thanks for the comment

I think moving forward I will add a fresh water rinse down cycle.

The valves are made by Burkett and are used in many caustic chemical applications, that is why i chose that style.

were you using an actuated ball valve?
