It was really cool last night when I went downstairs and looked into my tank. I saw that my peppermint shrimp eggs had hatched and I saw a bunch of little shrimp floating all around the tank. The other shrimp and my fish made quick meals of them but it was still cool to see them floating around like that. She has babies about twice a year a think. Is it possible to catch keep and rear these young? If so anybody done it ?

As from what Iv'e heard it's very hard or impossible

It's tough, but definitely not impossible. Another student at Central Campus is doing it for his senior project. There's a ton of useful info on the Marine breeding initiative site (mbisite.org)

Peppermint shrimp will release eggs about every two weeks.

Very very hard. You have to have dedicated tanks, hatch a ton of baby brine and rotifers and be a slave to them.

Other shrimp like cleaners and banded are same as impossible
