I'm trying to find anyone who has used the biopellets that Two Little Fishes makes?
    LINK
I have found very little on the web as far as feedback on this product. They are a little cheaper than the others on the market right now, and I'm worried that I will get what I pay for. My tank is mostly SPS, I do not have any big issues really with trates, but I do get the occasional rises. My load is fairly high between fish and feeding, so... : )
    Thanks in advance!

Aren't they all basically the same makeup? Stop being a cheap ***, aren't you an engineer? You cna't be talking $10 per year cost difference since they last forever.Wosrt case, they suck and you learn a lesson.

Well, this is probably purely anecdotal, but Bill (fishbrain) was using Warner Marine biopellets for some time, and then had won some of these Two Little Fishes biopellets at a club raffle. After using these TLF biopellets he began getting cyano pretty bad and decided to stop biopellets all together. There could be a number of different factors there, there's certainly little qualitative way to characterize one versus the other. Bill may have had some cyano issues with the Warner stuff too, I just think that at that point it was manageable.

lol, nickles and dimes. Yeah I would get the BRS stuff, that way you can get it in 2 days instead of waiting for Marine Depot to ship it from California, that always takes forever!

AC&C in Washburn has those bio pelets, as well as BRS's. I was running BRS biopelets, but they kept clumping. I switched to TLF and clump free for a couple months now. BRS's are more like extruded pelets, the TLF are more of a ball shape. I don't know if that made the difference, but they're working pretty good.

I run both brands mixed together in a sweet, highly recommended GEO reactor with flow from the bottom. Never clump, always tumble, couldn't be happier. I have never had any luck with the TLF or BRS reactors and tried both. In fact, run my carbon in them now and will soon switch to another GEo reator. As far as the cyano. Andy helped me with this. I too had Bills' common issue and after purchasing some bacteria (Microbacter7 coming from Marine Depot, not here) Zeobac (from BRS already on 5th day), the cyano is going away on the sand, rock and rear glass. Hopefully it will be cleared all the way up soon and I will post some before and after pics. Now if you could miracle cure the ich, I and my tangs would be forever in debt to you!
