pet land has had this frag in their tank for 2 weeks now and i finally caved in and took it home.  the people in the store had no idea what it was.  im 95% positive it is cyphastrea.  I just wanted to know if anyone else had it and if you could shed some light on placement and flow.  Also, is it an LPS or SPS? not that it matters as long as it is doing well.
    thanks once again

IDK it could be cyphestrea, if it is it is poorly abused. Don't buy things at Ptlnd you'll just encourage them to keep abusing saltwater live stock.

Looks like a cyphestrea to me. Maybe a minefield cyphestrea that's in need of good lights?

I would say so, that piece looks like it's been upside down for a couple of weeks.  Totally light deprived...

The polyps on this specimen are quite far apart, I would suggest that perhaps it is a pagoda cup frag. Can we get an updated pic?

I was telling people I thought it was a pagoda cup as well. Not sure if this guy talked to me or not, but that's what I would have said.

Yeah, could be.  If it's a pagoda cup, then it's in even worse shape than if it's a cyphestrea as that's virtually no polyp extension...  Hopefully it looks better now.
