Midwest Large Tank builders

I am starting to plan for my move in April and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for large tank builders in the midwest.  Shipping a 500 pound fish tank can get price so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

 

Where was it that brad got his monster built? Guess you will have to post on RC to find out.

Brad got his from glasscages if I remember right.

There's a place up in MN I believe that builds tanks, but I think they're only acrylic. Midwest aquariums or something?

That nano is sweet. I am wanting to do something about that size in the corner of the dining room (if I can get it in there while I am still banking some brownie points). That would be the perfect size sitting on a nice oak or walnut stand.

 

If you do, I would go with Scott. His attention to detail is awesome. He did so many little things to it that you others wouldn't do without charging an arm and a leg. You probably can't see it that well but the front corners were rounded to eliminate the sharp edge. It's a good idea if you have little ones around. Plus it just looks better, IMO.

The nano also had a custom false wall with adjustable overflow teeth on the back. The baffle design was also made to fit a Tunze nanoskimmer with flow going through the bottom. I had the choice to put carbon or other media on the other side but I opted to put more live rock in there.

What is this rock or rockwall that I see in this tank??  Looks pretty cool!

 

Those are called reef ceramics imported by Captive Oceans and sold through retailers like Aquarium Specialty. It was one piece that was cut in two. With sand filling the bare spots, it looked pretty seamless. http://www.aquariumspecialty.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=146_238

Or at least until the interent I pay rent for starts working again thank god...
Most of the locals know I want a house.  The Lofts are cool but I have lot of junk and no place to put it.  Plus I need a workshop!  At this point it looks like I will still be in the QC.
Anyway most all of my tank upgrades have been "rolling" starts.  Where I have half the equipment I need stuff set up all jacked up.  I wanted to try to avoid that.  I have had some of my corals for more than 3 years now and I don't want to risk there lifes from my poor planning. 
I was thinking of starting to buy more of the equipment a head of time so the corals can go from one working stable system to another.
Anyway how much did JJ pay for the 380?

 

BTW I am thinking 6' or 8' long by 3' wide. Island setup 3 sided viewable and probably 24 or 36 deep.

I want coral islands with with a lot of swimming space for the fish.
