My 55g Tank

    Looks amazing Merri! I love the clam! I still really need to see this in person, but I think you need more mushrooms corals...

    tank looks good.
    are you only running the 2 emperor 400's on the back for filtration and what type of lighting do you have?

    Thanks guys! I do have two emperor 400 on my 55 which might seem like a lot but I never have issus with my water parameters plus do weekly water changes.for lighting I have ati t-5 lights. I might be switching to two sol blues in januray..[code] [/code]

    Majohns I did the exact samethign on my 55 except I only used 1 emp. along with a HoB skimmer. was a very successful tank.

    I want to upgrade to a sump and a bigger tank but right now it works for me. The only thing that kills me is buying my filter refills. They are expensive. I would love one of the zero edge aquariums, but they are not practical.

    dont use them.....All I did was use the empty cartridges for carbon didnt bother with the filters because just like anyother reef tank your live rock and powerheads along with a skimmer is all you should need.

    You mean don't bother replacing the carbon filter refills and just rinse it off and reuse it?

    dont bother using them at all. the blanks you get that open up? fill those with carbon instead.

    you know what i forgot all about those! I will have to look into that when its time to change them again
