    Anyone order the Typhoon from airwaterice? Thinking I'm going too.

    I have the typhoon III extreme and it works just fine. Glad I got it as part of my tank setup, because all the "extra" features aren't worth the money IMO. I get the same water output as with the 75 gpd I had. The pressure gauge is pointless, the TDS alarm is pointless. The only good thing is the dual TDS meter, but you can add a dual TDS meter to any of the other typhoon models for $30.
    I'd say the typhoon and dual inline TDS meter would be the way to go.

    I have the hand held TDS meter from them already. Thanks for your input, thinK I'll order the unit itself then....

    I have a Typhoon and I love it. Go with a hose adapter or tap a pipe if you can, unscrewing a faucet once a week to make my DI water is a pain in the butt.

    Here are some things to look for in a good system for this hobby:

    No more than 4 stages (sediment, carbon, RO, DI) unless you have specific water quality issues you want to address
    Standard-sized prefilters, membrane, and DI cartridge
    Brand name, high-rejection membrane
    Specifications provided for each stage
    Pressure gauge after the prefilters and before the membrane
    Thermometer
    TDS meter (handheld or in-line)
    DI bypass
    Vertical DI stage
    Refillable DI cartridge
    Aluminum bracket
    Quick connect fittings
    No water from pressurized storage container delivered to DI
    Flush valve
    Clear housings
    High-quality instructions written in clear English
    Customer support before, during, and after your purchase
    A vendor involved in your hobby

    Ordered the Typhoon 3 today. I called AWI and asked if they could modify the package as I had already bought a TDS meter from them. They took off the total price for the meter off the package price! They will definitely get my business again./DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

    yea i have a typhoon 3 and its asome , i also have the extra presure pump /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif keep it at 65.
