Finally got internet going so I can hook up my APEX. So... now what. I can't remember everything the guys did when they helped me set it up at the old place. Everything is up and running through the control panel, but I can't access it through the internet. It is hooked in by an ethernet cable to my router and I can get wireless internet from the router fine. Under network settings it says IP is still 192.168.0.20 but that's what it was for the old place. Should that change? If I type that into my browser, google says it can't connect/find that page.

Suggestions? Really hoping to be able to get my canopy up tonight and it would be extremely helpful if I could access my APEX to reprogram it again.

    Thanks,

    Kylie

You should post this question at RC in the Neptune sponsor section. Whenever I have a network problem I go there and they have me straightened out pretty quickly.

OMG I GOT IT!!! Haha, took me about an hour of reading and stuff but I can at least access it from home. Accessing it away from home will have to wait for a later date /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/tongue.gif

Congrats! I don't have an apex (yet. ...) but I think I would be about that excited if I was to figure it out as well. Haha.

Getting access outside of your home network isn't really that bad. You basically just need to open the port on your router your Apex is on and use your external ip address to access it.

    You can do it!

How much did you pay for it?

I don't remember actually. Ordered it through ACC in january.

As for opening the port, I had to do one to get it going. Do I set up a second for away from home? How do I know what to set it as?

Download the setup and programming guide from Neptune site. You have to setup a pot forwarding from your port 80 TCP.

Go here http://www.neptunesystems.com/support/docs/ then download this new.neptunesystems.com/wp-content/u...34_WEB.pdf

I got my new Apex last week and been doing some light reading with this guide to cover my basis.

    Good luck!

ya well. I was thinking about buying one but the cost is too high.

I could build a better webserver and web interface than they have, just need the probes that you stick in the water. Probly going to just do that once I get some money recovered.
