I have never been a good one about testing my water.  This time around I have pledged to test more often & keep more on top of my parameters.
I bought a nice refractometer so I can accuratly test my salinity, & my ac 3 lets me check my ph at a glance
I tested my alk & calc last night for the first time & my alk was 5.0 meg & my calc was 420.
I have been dosing alot of kalk water trying to keep my PH above 8.2.  It  raises it up to 8.4 & then slowly falls to 8.0.
The air in the fish room is really stale so I plan on putting an air exchanger in sometime this summer to keep the humidity down & hopefully raise the ph.

I think the only thing I check anymore on a regular basis is temperature, and salinity if I do a water change which has been about 2 in the last 3 or 4 months. You could say my enthusiasm for the tank has nearly vanished. Hopefully in a couple years it will come back.

Craig, have you considered trying Aquarium Water Testing (AWT)? I know they have gotten a bunch of bad reviews but I really like them. I send one test a month. I think it is worth it. They have offered a club discount but I don't know that many would be interested.
