Website Registration

Please note that club membership is NOT a requirement to use this website. If you have not yet registered, you can create a FREE account by clicking here, or by clicking on the Log In or Sign Up link in the upper right hand corner of this page, or the Sign Up Now button, then selecting "create an account now". Registration is required to post in our forums, participate in chat and several other areas of the site.

Becoming a GIRS Member

We invite you to "Test Drive" our club before joining. Attend one of our events, participate in our discussions forums or stop in for one of our regular online chats. If you decide that you enjoy the club, we encourage you to take the next step and become and official GIRS member. As a GIRS member, you will be able to participate/vote in club elections, you will be eligible for discounts at certain GIRS events & functions and you will get access to our private members forum. Additionally, many members give other club members great deals on corals, etc.

Membership dues are $20 per year and your membership lasts 1 year from the date that your dues are paid.

There are two ways to become a GIRS club member:

1) If you have already registered on our site, you can join the club instantly using Account Upgrades. Once you complete the PayPal payment process, your website account will be instantly upgraded to membership status. You do not need a PayPal account to make the Membership Dues payment through PayPal, you can use a Credit Card or Debit Card directly on PayPal's website.

2) If you wish to pay by cash to check, you can either A) download our Membership Form, fill it out, and mail it to the address on the form along with your Membership Dues, or B) you can pay your Membership Dues at any event. You will still need to register for a user account on the site - after that is done, your account will be manually upgraded.

Problems accessing your existing account?

The GIRS Forum underwent a conversion in April of 2015. Passwords were removed from all user accounts, so you will need to reset your password in order to access your existing account. Please refer to this thread for instructions:

If you don't recall your Username or e-mail address, please contact GIRS Info & Help so we may assist you.

Alternatively, you may post as a Guest in the Guest Area. Your post will not be publicly visible (even by you - only the Board of Directors will be able to see it) so you may post any information that may be helpful!
