i know a couple guys that have taken and blended store garlic and added to their tanks and had no problems.
make sure you're feeding some sort of garlic to the fish so they stay healthy...it maybe enough to keep the tank from getting worse. depending on...
also have a canopy made of pine that was made for my 220 that can be shortened to fit on this tank...canopy needs stained..
