1 1/2" PVC gate valve

    I am looking for a 1 1/2" pvc gate valve. The local "big" hardware places seem to only have anything in brass. Theisen's has pvc versions but only in smaller 1/2" sizes. Anyone have one laying around or know where I can get locally? I am trying to avoid paying $20+ for this thing after shipping since that is all I need! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif

    The cheapest that I've seen these for is close to $30 before shipping (http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/1-5-economy-gate-valve-slip-x-slip.html). They are just expensive. If you find someplace to get them cheap, post it! I'm sure many people will be interested.

    Do you have an Ace hardware any where around? I've found when no body else has it, Ace does.

    There seems to be an Ace relatively close, however an online search of their products brings up nothing /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/sad.gif

    I got a couple at menards. I'm guessing you went to Lowes and they didn't have it there. I work there and I was going to say Im about positive we do not have them.

    Bela did you find any around here? I need one now. Matt were those Ball or Gate valves at Menards? I need a 1-1/2" Gate for my new Skimmer.

    I found a great 1 1/2" Gate valve in Des Moines, better that a normal red handled faucet type. I called Iowa Pool and Plumbing Supply and they had this beast for $27.
