Breaking down my 120 gallon Reef Ready in Cedar Rapids that’s been running since March 2013.

We all know the (typical) routine: corals/rock first, then fish, finally tank/equipment (just easier this way).

Last year I had a partial crash due to an overdose of Kalkwasser and things have never quite recovered plus I’ve been doing this since 2003 (almost non-stop) and find myself losing interest.

    Notes:

Selling tank/stand/canopy as one. When I bought the setup, it was painted black and I thought I could strip the stand (pine) and canopy and stain them (did this with previous 72g pine stand). The canopy is made from various types of wood so this isn’t possible so I repainted in black. The stand and canopy (mainly stand) could benefit from a quick repaint. Also, in late 2013 my daughter threw something at the tank and chipped it (pics below). Not structural and like a rock ship in a windshield – pics below.

The inhabitants are in decent shape. There is some aptasia and bubble algae. I haven’t introduced anything to the tank for quite a while and have never had any issues with the fish (i.e. ich). The hippo tang has started picking on the purple tang and this can be seen on its dorsal fin - I thought a 120 was enough for 2 tangs if introduced young (they were) so I need to separate them anyway.

All prices are “or best offer” and cash pickup in Cedar Rapids.

Availability: Monday, Tuesday and Friday (Memorial Day after 3PM)

Questions? PM and I’ll get you my number for text if you don’t have it.

Hippo has HLLE - worse on right side - feed Nori and other algae - can't seem to rid it. Purple tang has no HLLE.

I believe so - it's getting very large.

Funny thing is I would consider this a "higher end" specimen (i.e. sensitive) and it seems to have thrived while the tank has diminished.

Box is unopened Instant Ocean and I'm waiting to sell it towards the end in case I need to do more water changes.
