my water is testing great. PH is a little low at 7.8, dKH is also a little low at 7-8, Mag is OK at 1200, calcium is at 480, nitrates at 10, nitrites 0, ammonia 0, phosphates 0. I dont think its a kenya tree. I think its a colt coral or something similar. Its got abit longer "arms" if you will then a kenya usually does.

ok, here is my new plan for the basement setup. Im gonna move the sump/fuge down into the basement. And toss a frag tank on top of the entire deal.

Looking good. Thanks for posting all the pics. It sure makes a thread better when we can see what you're talking about.

If you loose power will the entire frag tank drain in to the sump?

ill have to redraw that. I would put the bulkhead up a couple inches below the water level in the frag tank, so the water only dropped that far when power went out. That way the frags wont set dry either.

Sounds good, as long as there is enough extra volume in the sump for the overflow your good!!

    Like the rockwork!
Oddly enough, it's almost exactly what I'm doing in my tank...I've had the "wall of rock" in the past and am looking for something a little more open and creative.
Can't wait to see it when it's grown out!

make sure you have the water go through a filter sock as it goes into your frag tank you don't want to have alot of waste crude colleting at the bottom or swrilling around your frags

Well, went to waverz house today and got some SPS. Thanks bro!!
The left side of the tank is going to be for Zoas mostyly, I just want that side to be a colony of diff. kinds of zoas, and a few mushrooms, and the right side is going to be mainly SPS.
The SPS have only been in the tank a couple of hours, so really havnt had much time to open up, but as you can see they are starting.

That's gonna look awesome once it gets grown out....especially if you had a wavemaker. Nick and Steph have a large rock covered with GSP that I think is so cool looking. Just watching it move with the flow...mesmerizing.
