Im not sure what bulbs to use. Bought 2 400 watt galaxy ballast and large lumen bright reflector. Im thinking of going with coralvue 14k or 20k bulbs. Im not gonna run actinics so i want a bluer looking bulb. If not coralvue what brands are everyone else running. Any suggestions would be much apreciated.

I had a good experience using XM 20K with great growth and color. However, I had them on a M59 ballast and not electronic. I am guessing they will still look pretty good on an electronic ballast. Radium bulbs are nice but a lot more money. They are tough to beat in terms of output and color when used with an HQI ballast.

I would go with the 20k with the 400w ballasts. How tall is your tank?
