My tank has been running for a few months so I decided that it's finally time to post it. I apologize for the terrible pictures. They were all taken with my phone and nothing looks near as good as it does in person. A lot of the tank and stand pictures were taken at my dad's house which is under renovation, so ignore that as well. The tank is a normal 20 long that I made into an AIO. We moved to Des Moines for my girlfriend to attend physical therapy school. I wanted something simple and pleasing at the same time.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it. I'd like to get rid of the leather and stick to mostly SPS and zoas in the main tank. I would also like to get rid of the anthelia and cloves in the fuge and just go with more display macros. I have a pair of clowns and will probably stick to those. I might add a clown goby or something else smaller after I get more coral.

That is a really cool build!! When you cut the acrylic for the main dividier, did you leave it a little short to allow for expansion or is it a tight fit?

Thank you! I liked the stand so much that I decided to build a picnic table like it as well haha.

@Turbo's Aquatics@Turbo's Aquatics, I left room for expansion. I can't remember off the top of my head what it was though. I want to say around 1/16" on each side. By the way, the gsp, red cap, and war coral are the ones that I got from you. They are doing great!

    Acrylic expands? Under what circumstances?

Acrylic absorbs moisture over a period of about 6 weeks when exposed to water. Similarly, when you empty an acrylic tank, it will offgas that moisture to a certain extent over the same period of time.

When it absorbs water, it expands. Not a lot, but enough to crack glass. Or cause an overflow box with a divider in it to cause the overflow box to detach.

    -A PERFECTLY SUCCESSFUL FAILURE-

Yes, the moisture absorption was a factor in leaving a slight amount of play. I also wanted to get silicone in between the acrylic and glass. I didn't want just a bead on each side of the acrylic. Especially since acrylic and glass don't always bond with silicone correctly. This way there is a bead ran in between the glass and acrylic and also a bead on each side of the acrylic panels. It is probably overkill for such a small tank, but I plan on it lasting for a few years and possibly a few moves. I figured it is better to be safe than sorry.

Thank you! I have a few display macroalages coming today. I will get pictures after I'm off of work and get them into the refugium.

Also, @Dave@Dave, I will probably get ahold of you soon to get a Cali Tort frag and maybe one other. I think I have all my frags placed well enough that I can fit two more in there.
