The Muscatine Library has extended their closing by one week until this Monday the 25th. The renovation of the children's section has been delayed pretty much since August.

Monday, I'll stop in and make a meeting with both directors to see where they want the tank and go from there. They wanted to go with a half-cylinder at first, but we'll see when the time comes.

Once we get what size of tank they want and the location, I'll order all the equipment needed to set it up with dry rock. Once everything is in at the library, then we'll try to make it a club build.

I went to the library and they settled on a 75 gallon. And they already saved a spot for it. I'm going to shoot them an email with some links, pictures and quotes and we'll go from there.

I saw the Children's Director Saturday when I was down there. I sent her an email estimating the projected costs this past week and I'm sending her a detailed list/spread sheet today. She said it's going through the approval process right now. Without the stand/canopy and live stock, I estimated 1200 bucks.

I told them that if they wanted to, to have a cabinet maker make a stand and canopy. Since most stands are really overpriced or not real good quality to have kids around scratching, kicking and whatever else kids can do to a stand. They want a nice display stand, which I understand and it maybe cheaper to have someone in town build one from scratch. If they do decide to go that route, I'll try to have the stand be 50" inside. That way a 55 gal can be used as a sump.
