So I build a 220 stand using the on going thread on RC.  I used 2x8's for the upper frame and the uprights, 2x4's for the bottom frame, and 4x4's for the corner screw mounts.  I was curious is any of you have this design? My main question is if I need a center brace on this thing.  The original designs say no but I am open for other thoughts...
Thanks for all the help in advance, this is going to be my first big build!

That's a heavy duty Stand..imo you don't need any center brace on that. Those tanks aren't wide enough to worry about that.

I don't think you need it eather. But It wouldn't hurt to put one on the back side.

My 250 has a 5'x3' foot print...made out of all 2x6 lumber, No center brace in front and two in the rear..I had the extra wood for that so I used it.

Great looking stand. I think I will copy that design for my next tank stand. Now that I'm getting a table saw, I have an excuse to use it!!
