or a safe room wall if it is really bullet proof/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

No offense, But why are you posting E-bay auction that aren't yours under the buy/sell/trade section?

Not a trick question at all, This forum is for members to post items they have for sale, Not to discuss items that others have for sale. This type of post should be under the general forum.

many people do not browse Ebay, and i frequently see enough people looking for 200+gal tanks. the 2 he posted are pretty incredible deals and from what I have seen sparked enough interest for at least 1 person to bid on.

In short i dont see an issue with it.

Pretty incredible deal? It's ebay...the last minute the price will shoot up considerably, Besides there are millions of great deals on e-bay and in my opinion they should not be posted on our forum! I'm sure I could go on e-bay and find hundreds of good deals.  As far as other deals that are posted they shouldn't be posted here either.

People looking to do group buys should post them under their city/areas forum. Most do that already. Paid members have a place to post these types of deal....Great Deals, Power Buys, etc.

I agree with you john this should be in like general disc or great deals and power buys considering this is not a forum to advetise what you find on the internet.... This is where we can sell our stuff to eachother...... IMO

Who cares where the thread ends up ultimately. Does it really matter? Some one wanted to post a deal they found on eBay for every one else to see. What's it really hurting?

Take it for what it's worth. If you don't like the post..don't read it or foremost DON'T reply to it. As a club member, i don't mind seeing things for sale and deciding if it's a deal or not. I do find alot of deals from GIRS members and that's GREAT, but can't always find what I need so I think it may just help out others from these postings. With that said it might be better under the informational postings instead of buy and sell though.

I subscribe to the buy/sell forum so I can find deals locally, I don't need
my inbox filled with posts from stuff that people find on e-bay that they think
is a good deal. I have an e-bay account for that purpose. If it was his/her items he/she
were listing I wouldn't mind at all even though it still wouldn't technically
abide by the club rules of listing a price in your listing.("An asking price or
trade expectations should be listed in the post.")
Also this forum is for non commercial sales only....many ebay sales are
commercial sales so who is going to start checking all the e-bay posts to make
sure a person doesn't join our group just to promote their commercial e-bay
sales? It's better to just not list them here in the first place.

Do you think everyone else needs or wants your replies that are off topic and getting darn near to the point off badgering filling their inboxes? I personally don't mind clicking delete to the posts. Besides clicking delete a couple times is easier and more respectful than filling up someone's post with off topic replies. Let it go and move on.

Are we seriously having an argument over an ebay item being linked? SERIOUSLY?
