    So I've got my tank drilled for a bean animal overflow with a coast to coast set up, had a 30 gal. Tank laying around thought I would use it for the sump, put it in the stand and there is only 10" of head room from top of sump tank to the roof of stand is this going to be enough ? This is my first tank with sump so would like some advise, trying to do this as frugal as possible

    Ten inches may be a little tight. Especially with a skimmer.

    Might be a little snug. We have 13" between top of sump and bottom of stand in our 210. You may be ok though as I assume you'll have a smaller skimmer. I'd suggest checking some skimmer specs and see if they will fit or not.

    Well that gives me a little hope as you probably have a way bigger skimmer than I'm going to need

    just make sure when you are looking for a skimmer you take the room you have into consideration. There are a ton of skimmer options available. I'm sure you'll find one that fits.

    Especially be mindful of having room to "remove, empty and clean the skimmer cup " ;0) Many skimmer descriptions will tell how much clearance is needed to remove the cup...mine is an inch. The cup just slides off....
