Picked this up for $15. I'm becoming partial to acans.

Also the Goniopora is an aleveopora. I took a zoomed in shot and counted the tentacles.

Star seems to be doing well with a couple weeks in tank. I have been able to supplement food well and the fish dont try and steal it. I think theres plenty for it to graze on though anyway.

Starfish doing well still. It's a small victory given my recent temp swing that killed about half of my coral.

Here is the monti cap I got from Dave like a year ago. It would be even bigger but I break off pieces and put some on the rear rockface and have tossed some. Its recovering, it was all the dead appearance except for the very edges. [IMG]

So I should start a new thread called "The Middle" for this tank but I still think I'm experimenting a lot with it so it can stay a beginning for a couple years haha. I did my first Triton test on it. I'm not too concerned other than the Lithium but I read that's a common level for Reef Crystals and lower than some other mixes can be. Though I wonder if its coming from my BRS 2 part as well. The Aluminum is odd too, again I wonder if the 2 part mix has it. Going to be better about dry mixing the reef crystals before adding to my water tank and see if that helps. I plan on adding a little potassium daily, maybe I will use my 4th doser head for that. Also will start adding a little Strontium. I think the Iodine is just a result of it's fleeting ability to be measured but I may add a small amount as well. If anyone has any other thoughts on this feel free to provide input.

Note: Sorry for the German, the PDF saved that way. The first number is the test result and the 2nd number is the setpoint.

I have been dosing BRS 2 Part for over 4 years and my Li levels are fine. I do triton test every 4 months or so. I add iodine, potassium, strontium manually in small amounts.

    What salt are you using?

Aqua Vitro Salinity. 3 gallon a day auto water change. Roughly 200 gallon system. Same salt for 3 years or so. I had problems with my montiporas turning pale and greyish when my potassium was low. I try to keep it around 400.

I should start a new thread called The Middle as this tank has been running for 2 years now. Ive been going very slow though. I have a live stream up of it now. It tends to disconnect after a few hours but I restart when I leave in the morning and get home from work each night.

That's a bad idea IMO because it implies there is also "The End"
