    Hey Everyone,

Not that you guys haven't seen a 90 build before, but here is the build I am doing.

I had the stand custom built by Kpotter2 (Kyle Potter) and I wouldn't change a thing! He was awesome to work with through out the whole process. Everything I wanted on this stand I got plus some detail that I dreamed of, but he made happen!!!

Right now I am in the process of having my sump built and will hope to start staining the stand tonight! Depending on how the first two coats of stain turn out, will determin if I put on a third coat of stain or not.

The house I am living in right now is the house that my wife and I bought almost a year ago now. We got married this July and this will be the first tank we put in this house! I still have a couple other tanks running at my parents house. This also is the first tank that I won't 100% piece together from used equipment...Its exciting to have new stuff!!!

    Hopefully you enjoy!

Here is the stand with the first coat of stain on it. It is a dark "espresso" color. Currently it is sitting in our garage drying and tonight we will sand it down and put another coat of stain on it hopefully!

This is the second coat of stain on the stand and I think the final! A couple finishing touches and some dry time and it will make its way into the house!

    Are you sealing the inside?

I haven't 100% decided on what I'm doing on the inside, but am open to some suggestions!

Good waterproof sealer of some kind is a must.

Before I said I thought I had done my final coat of stain, but... I put on a third coat on the stand. After letting the stand sit for two days, you could see the stain soaking into the wood and the wife wanted it a little darker. Its hard to tell in this picture, but you can still see the amazing wood grain of the cabinet which is something that we really wanted!

I used a rubber exopxy on the inside of the stand. It is used on pool floors to seal any leakes and create a barrier. I have used it before and it is awesome!

Looks like your stand is coming along nicely! Do you have any epoxy left to cover the top where your tank will sit? I don't think you really need it but if you have some left, you might as well use it. Inevitably you will get water on the outside of the tank and it'll run down to the bottom.

I thought that same thing. I'd cover the raw edges with stain and finish too. It's just too pretty to let that show through. You know you're going to want to show off the workings of this tank when you get there.

I was planning on covering what is left, just haven't yet. There has been a battle between my wife and I on what those raw edges should be covered with...Of course I know who will win... So I should probably just stain it while she is out of town!

    Good Morning Everyone,

It has been awhile since I updated everyone on how the tank has been going. Since I last posted, I have done the plumping for the tank, custom mounted my AI Sol Blues, aquascaped the rock, put in the sand, filled the tank with water, fixed a leak, added a couple corals from a tank that I am breaking down and some of the fish from that tank.

I still have some more corals in my old 30 gallon reef that need to move over, but am not doing it quite yet. Everything that is in this tank currently is captive bread/aqua cultured. It is amazing when you buy a bunch of frags that are one head, how they turn out.

Where did you buy your light mounts?

I know someone who was able to do the work for me and they were custom made, but http://www.modularled.ca/ was the place that made the original of this light mount. I have another friend who bought them off this site and I just had them made because I liked them.

Several people have been asking me to see updates of my tank, so I wanted to post some pictures in this thread!

Thanks to everyone who has helped make this tank possible.
