I have had this Morish Idol for a couple of months now. Anyway, my powder blue has become more and more aggressive toward the idol. So, i don't know if the Idol was cut by the powder blue or chased off by the tang and severly scraped. Anyway, i am putting the divider in the tank to separate the two fish for the meantime. But, what do i do about a fish with a deep cut to his side like this? Let it heal, and cross the fingers that it doesn't become infected? Or is there something else i person can do?

I have also thought about pulling the powder blue out, selling or trading him off, and finding another smaller one. The Idol is not agressive to anything, except food.

    Thanks

My idol had this happen at one point also. I did nothing and it healed within a couple of days, good as new. I also have a Powder Blue but the two show no signs of aggression. I believe mine may have done it darting around the tank.

Well, not to bad.... for having a GASH in him! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif The breathing rate has slowed from when it occurred. I did put the divider in....but it has not been an effective tool the way i have it installed (it is 2" too short- where the pump stream across the top water). This divider has worked for me in the past.. but the fish are too accustomed to their invironment. I am still undecided how/what to do with the tang....let alone catch him. If i decide to catch the tang... bearsareawesome will know first.
