About a week ago i cut 2 mushrooms in half and cut one off the rock it was on to move it and i used a rubberband to hold them on the rock. next couple of days they were gone and the third day they were down by the rock i pulled them off of. so i glued one to a rock and it did the same thing. is there something i am doing wrong? please help...

Its hard to glue shrooms, as they are so slimey. I wonder if they are ending up at that rock due to water flow. They are a little tough to start, but once they attach, you are good to go. Can you put them in an area with very little flow trying the rubber bands or a little mesh netting over them to hold them on the rock for a few days?

You can also tie them down with fishing line.

I have found that shrooms can and will move if they don't like the spot they are in, sort of like an anemone. Glue rarely works either. The best thing IMO is get a small container of rubble and toss the shroom in there (in your tank of course), making sure there is still the necessary flow (people like to use those clear plastic soap dishes with suction cups meant for the shower). Once it attacked to a piece, remove that piece and glue the rubble to your rockwork.

i second Bela's statement... mesh/netting and a container or restrict it with the mesh to the rock, so it can not get away.
