AC&C closing retail store

I help with a small construction business and after you tabulate it all up (liability insurance, bonding, unemployment insurance, disability insurance, sales tax, income tax capital gains tax, social security [the company's contribution&#93its a lot to choke down when one guy handles the accounting and margins are non existent.

 

Nooo.. the manufacturer sells to the distributor for a set cost which calculated based on production cost, stock, r&d marketing and SP forth. The distributorsells the, for a marginal markup and weakening bulk. At this point places like Amazon can be considered distributors and will be able to sell om pennies Mark up becuase they bank on microtransctions. A local business is going to have to pay a distributor a slightly higher rate due to the factthat they will be ordering a limits number. They will also have to pay for shipping on top depending on an ltl or similar model... in the end small business labelled for the end product and then marks up accordingly, effectively driving themselves out of business... its a really terrible system that has evolved in time...

The thought that anyone cares about a local business beside the owner is more realistic. And thats a terrible place to be. It wont be too much lover when almost all low end hobbies get their firsh from Petco as they have the purchasing power to do things like sell powder blues for 35 bucks or a neon pink dotty for 12... and any high end hobbiest will be ordering online.


That sinless we the consumer are willing to out up with a little overhead, feed a friend Gandhi's family, and pay for there's of knowledge and service they have provided to the community...

Drove up yesterday and picked up a couple of fish, then a couple more, then... I can hardly wait until the wife gets home and asks how I paid for them. LOL
