I finally got my AC3 to work on the Apex app on my cell phone without being on my wifi. I can now go on vacation and keep an eye on my tank. It only took two years ,2 routers and tons of online tech help. Good things come to those who wait and go crazy waiting.LOL

I am using the apex app for iphones . The nullriver one (aquanotes) locks up a lot. You need to put in your home ip addy. Type whats my ip into the google tool bar and it gives it to you. Then you take that put a colon after it and then put the port you are using . !75.33.33.33:80 just as an example.
then you have to go into your router and then go to dmz server. It puts the ip addy of the controller outside of the firewall. There is some security issues but I have been told by the people in tech support that its minimal. you type the ip address of your controller into it and then hit apply. It puts the controller only on the otherside of the firewall. Otherwise the routers always seem to block the request, even if i allow the port 80 to be accessed from outside. hope this helps.
