Ok I have an ac3 and i need to know whether or not my ac3 can be a controller for my ai sol nano? Is it just the apex that can do that and what extra parts are needed?  Thanks guys probably been asked by others before. Thanks

The ACIII isn't compatible with AIs. You will need an Apex, variable speed dimming module and the AI to VDM connector cable. Then you have to setup profiles to ramp up or down the lights and then program the outlets to the desired profiles. So quick answer is no. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/sad.gif

Does the apex actually add enough features to the AIs to be worth the expense?

The only feature it adds is that you can control them through the apex instead of a AI controller. so if you have your apex hooked up to your computer or network you can control them with your computer or smart phone. so in my opinion its not worth the extra money to switch from your ACIII to an apex just to control your AI unless you already planned on buying a apex for other reasons
