Transfer method has been around for awhile and It is my preferred method. I also like it for the treatment of ich. Cuts the time in half and is less stressful, less chance of water perimeters being bad with the frequent transfers. It is also space saving and easy to store away when not in use.

My only concern would be with larger fish. I feel bad enough with a 6.5" blue tang in a 55g quarantine tank right now. Should work well with smaller durable fish like clowns though.

I agree a 55 is better but for those of us that don't have a spare 55 tank around the house this cuts the amount of time a fish will have to be in a small confined space.
