I wonder how many you can buy at once... wouldn't be a bad idea to get a few people to buy them together to cut shipping price if people are interested.

I've seen a few around. I know Coral Haven has a few in their main display and I saw some when I was up in Milwaukee the other weekend but haven't seen any in my neck of the woods :(

I had a small one a few years ago in my 90. It was one of my favorite fish. They have quite the personality.

What makes this tang so much harder to keep alive than other similar tangs like the Orange Shoulder Tang or the Lieutenant Tang?

I knew they were difficult Craig. Why is that? I've never bought one before just always admired them.

Also as it says a 180 or bigger is a must.

One of my favorite tangs. I personally wouldn't put one in anything smaller than a 300 gallon tank. Very active fish. I have seen a few in smaller tanks and they always looked sick. Pale looking and not very active.
I have no idea why they are hard to keep. Maybe they just don't ship well and harder to acclimate to the food we feed in our glass boxes.

I had one for about 6 months in a 110 gallon 6 ft tank. It was a from a guys tank that was having ick problems. Long story short, i kept it alive, fattened it up and returned it to him. One thing i noticed about them is they LOVE flow. That thing would swim right in front of my return outlets almost all day. I also remember it really some liked some sort of green frozen food, i think it was called Lifeline.

I received mine today and wow what a beautiful fish took 5 hours to acclimate the salinity was 1.017. I ordered a clam with it to receive free shipping plus Saturday delivery wasn't that bad but my box was leaking my clam bag had a small hole in it so called liveaquara and let them know what happened and took pictures and sent them to them. Little worried at frist but after 1.5 of acclimation put him in the tank and opened right up hopefully that's a good sign
