Started an acrylic tank project last week to replace an existing glass cube.

    Outside dimensions are 20.5"w x 18.75"d x 20"t

There is an external overflow box for plumbing and a shallow overflow on the inside for surface skimming.

Here are some sketchups of the design:

Assembly is underway...uploading some pics now!

All edges are squared and prepped on the router table and the pinning method is used during assembly.
I don't have a stockpile of 12 packs and soccer balls like Bud does so for now the weights will have to do/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/tongue.gif

First the side panels are bonded to the front:

The following day, the back panel is added:

Assembly of the internal overflow and skimming box was completed:

And now the internal box has been "welded" into place:

All that's left to do on this one is to flush trim and add the external overflow box...just waiting on a bulkhead dimension. Then a good edge polish and she's ready for water!

Protective paper left on where possible for now of course!

I was able to pick up this tank this past week and have to say the build quality is AWESOME! I am so happy with the tank, and MJB was super easy to work with. I would not hesitate for a second to do business with him, or recommend him to fiends/family. Stand by for build thread as soon as I get a bit of free time.
