This one is for a 29 biocube and includes an intake/skimmer chamber with filter sock holder, a refugium section, and return section

This one is next up after the Grove & Platt sump is done or at least moved off my router table. Walls and the baffle before the return chamber are 3/8", the rest is 1/4". This drawing doesn't show probe holders, etc...but they'll be in there, just haven't decided where yet...

Here are all the pieces, ready to start bonding

Teeth are routed, notch and filter sock holder were rough cut the finish routed. Double stick tape and templates are awesome for this. It's a little nerve-racking though, I should have taken a picture of me with a respirator, face shield, and ear protection on.

Still gauging how much time I actually spend on these builds. If I had to quote another one exactly like it right now I'd say $250

Only one more joint left after this one, then it's flush trim and bond the bottom, which I think is going to be rather tricky on this one. Bottom joints are always the toughest, because the solvent starts to set up by the time to get all the joints filled, so yu have to work very fast.

After that, will add the filter sock holder and probe holders, a do little polishing.

Looks very professionally done there Bud! Will you fill it with water to assure good bonds? Can't wait to see the finished product!!

The nice thing about acrylic is that if you know what material you use, and what solvent you use (I make my own mixture), and the joints are prepared right, you can tell exactly how strong a bond is pretty much right away just by looking at it.

As for the water testing, I wasn't planning on it. But I might just for a picture.
