Are adding sand in the tank that are already cycled, risky? How do this right by adding more sands in the display? Anyone experience this? Thoughts?

It is best to add a little at a time, in one area of the tank at a time. This way you don't bury the existing live sand and all it's bio mass.

Use some PVC pipe that will reach to bottom and slowly add it in, the PVC pipe will cut down on the cloudiness
