I've got my closed loop running with a genx 1400 gph pump. There are two outlets on the bottom. I'm thinking about additional flow. I have some stuff on my current tank but I'm thinking about an upgrade. Mp 40? Tunze 6105? Just looking for some thoughts.

Have you considered these? Not as functionally rich as the vortechs but 1/3 the price.

And a big discussion thread on RC:

I just ordered a couple of them for our in-wall 210 build.

You can't go wrong with either pump you listed. Or a combination of both. It all depends on how you want to mount them, and what you want out of them.

Those Jebo's might be hard to get. I saw some threads pop up about legal issues holding up the import of those things.

I was thinking about the jebos. Where did you order from?

I think the place in the first link (fish place) is the sole distributor at this point as far as I can tell.

Yeah they got a cease and desist order from the lawyers at tune due to patent issues I guess.

From what I read they are honoring all orders o this point and it may only be on the wp25

I found someone selling a couple of the Jeboa WP40s on reefcentral and I ordered one. We shall see how it holds up.

Do you have a link to that info on the C&D order? From what I'm reading on RC they are still shipping these. I'm guessing Tunze is pretty ticked off because it's pretty much a ripoff of their product, at least in physical appearance.

China doesn't recognize parents so they will keep selling them until they make it illegal to import them into this country

Dang China and their non-parent-recognition policy.

I got a wp40 for my 75 gallon, love it. You can also get a led dimmer switch that plugs right into it and works to control flow...
In fact I liked it so much, I ordered a 2nd one.. both at max is a bit more than I would like but with the dimmer switches, I usually keep em on full if in primary wave mode, but otherwise 50-75% each..

Got my 2nd from fish street like 2 weeks ago? (so Idk what people are saying about the legal stuff)
