I want to cruse up to ACC tonight, to pick up the additives that you should/could use with the Bio Pellets.   Only problem is that I can't remember what that additive was called.   I know ZoeBak, but ACC don't sell that, there was another one that was talked about at the meeting, Anyone remember what the name was????

One was Seachem Stability. I can't remember the others. I've always used Zeobak. I think I have an unopened bottle of Stability around...

the others were microbacter7. I use the MB7 and also the Zeobac. I can't tell you the difference. It sounds like the key is to get the mix of bacteria. Prodibio was also mentioned and seems popular. Quite expensive and the vials they come in make it hard to dose different size systems since you can't re-seal them. Good luck.

    Another ?
One article that I read about BioPellets and adding additives like MB7, you should turn off the skimmer for about 4 hours after adding. I don't recall reading this anywhere else.

Just wondering if anyone else does this or not.

Sorry I've been in finals week world for the last 2-3 weeks Troy, yeah always turn off the protein skimmer for several hours after adding any bacterial additive. It's also beneficial to do the same when feeding, I do my food and additives simutaneously.
