I'm moving from North Liberty to Adel and was curious if anyone knows what Adel's water is like. I'm used to terrible water in North Liberty (1200 ppm TDS), so hopefully it will be an improvement. Adel is pretty small so I'm not sure if there are any GIRS members there.. but figured it would be worth a shot.

    Thanks!

I think generally it's around 500ppm. Adel uses a shallow aquifer for its water though, so it can vary from agriculture runoff quite a bit. It's hard water but I'd say only slightly worse overall than Des Moines and its close suburbs.

WDM is 500+ ppm all the time. I use a 150 GPD RO membrane and a dual DI + a booster pump and I get pretty good results.

Good to hear. Thanks for the replies! Sounds like it should be a bit of an improvement compared to North Liberty then.. all of our faucets are constantly getting calcium buildup out here and the water smells like a chlorinated pool.

North liberty is the only town I've been in who's tap water plugs the screen on a faucet
