Hello to all my fellow reefers!

I wanted to reach out for some advice. I have a toadstool coral that is beautiful and is outgrowing my 29g Biocube. I will be looking to sell or trade it shortly but it is attached (I mean really attached) to a large piece of live rock.

Can I peel it off the live rock without damaging the coral or will I need to trade with the coral attahced?

    Thanks for your advice!

You can cut it off you wont damage it.... the way you frag them is just cut a piece off and then attach it to a rock with a rubber band

all my large toadstools do that too.. you can cut or gently tear it as close to the base thats attached to the rock as possible... it will be pissed off for several days but should bounce back... /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif I just did this to my 16" one... he was ticked off, closed for probably 5 or so days then opened up...happy as a lark. the peice that's left on the rock will grow you a new one, it's just fragging really!

Finally figured out how to post a pic on the site. Here's the Toadstool in question. Beautiful coral so I'm not wanting to split it up so I posted in Buy/Sell/Trade.
