    Or if a ph Buffer was used it could raise the alk to ridiculous numbers... ive done that and lost a couple fish..... but he said he wasnt dosing anything

    No dosing. With Brian's help im running an airstone to see if the clown acts any different tonight. I'll have to pick up a tester for alk as I do not have access to one.

    I think I've whipped out this post a dozen times in the last week: #15 says it all

    2 months is not long enough, tank is still way too new. There's a myriad of possible issues and it's likely that you're not going to be able to pin it down, because you don't have $100k in lab equipment, just hobby test kits.
