AI controller seting advice

    Just got my 2 AIs setup and hung 12 inches above the water on my 75 gal just wondering what the highest intensity would be for a good start I have them about 45% for the first day of useing th AIs mostly have lps but do have a few sps previous light was  2- 150 watt halides and 2 54 watt atinic T5s that were about 4-5 inches from water any advice would be helpful thanks

    I'd think that would be a good starting place. Might be a little high considering you were using 150's, but just keep an eye on your corals.

    I think we should know the size of tank you have them on. I think the height above the tank is good. I also think the 45% is also a good starting place. I am in the same boat as you trying to find the right % on my AI light. I did have it too intense at 70% and melted some zoas but the lps and sps didn't mind it. So I dropped to 40% white, 45% blue, 45% royal blue. And that's just for two hours at mid-day, and everything seems to be much happier with that. I left it that way for a few weeks and now I have it to 45% white, 50% blue & royal blue.
    Just take your time and monitor your corals.
