Ok anyone know anything about these leds

  2. They are going to be awesome!

  3. On a serious note though, they have 13 LEDs per unit, 7 color channels of controlability, 45 watts, built in wifi (so you can control it from your smart phone or tablet), will also work with the ai direct, maxes out at 500 PAR umols, LEDs are configured in a single cluster and has a diffuser plate so you get even color rather then disco ball effect (AI Vega), can light a 20inx20in footprint, really sleek design, mounting arm and hanging kit will be offered seperately, the Prime and rotate slighty about the mounting arm. Comes in white and black (so far). The most insane detail is the fact that it will retail for $199. I am expecting this to be one of the topsellers for AI considering the popularity of nano tanks. This light would be great for you BioCubes and Innovative Marine tanks. Pretty excited about this light. Really want to test it out!

The light as it has been seen in person is pretty impressive and the price point is very nice.

The company says now that they are comfortable with their numbers over an 18x18 tank even though several places are saying 20x20. It makes it a good size for several nano tanks but a little small for several others.

It should be a nice product. There has been a lot of delays with it, so hopefully they role it out soon.

I had a online seller tell me that some one with a 300 gal tank bought 11 primes for it........ I through it was for nano only why I ask on here,

I have like 10 more days to research more on the LEDs I want ....and I am down to hydra 26 and ai prime if it would work, is the control that much of a problem on the hydra 26, what is the penetration of the prime..... It will be going on a 75 gal for now but that will turn into a much bigger tank down the road cough cough I hope

All of the information is on their site about the prime. Since it hasn't been released and tested in the marketplace, I would look at their recommendations. They recommend it for and 18x18 area.

Those are pretty cool lights, but I went with the hydra 26 for my 120 instead of the primes. They have the same LED puck, but the 52 has 4, the 26 has 2 and the prime has 1. The 26 was the best bet for me coverage and intensity wise, but he prime has sweet built in features. I picked up the AI director and like it.

My guess is that they see how this does in the market and then release larger fixtures that use the same tech with probably some options more tailored to larger tanks.
