I got my new ai vega lights. But once they are synced up and the new firmware installed I noticed a lighting issue. Now the controller lists uv in the color schem and there is no uv in these. But guess what ,,, It controls the red and green leds as if they were uv leds and in only one puck in one vega unit. Ai is not in on the weekend so I am asking has anyone experienced this with their Vegas after the new firmware update? If so did you find a fix ?

Is there somewhere in the set-up that you can select your colors? There would almost have to be if the lights are as "customizable" as they claim. The original sols and controller had a setting for whether you were running the sol blues, or sol whites.

Yes in the manual set up you can select your colors the problem is these units do not have uv in them. That is a color they are saving for the power puck option when it comes out. Mine is set to vegas and then in goes through to find them wirelessly and then it flashes the left one you accept then left plus 1(left+1). which flashes the other light. Then they are synced. Problem is when you go through to do the light test to test each color only one red will light up in one fixture and two in another. The same same with the green led. If youturn on the uv the red and greeen and the royal blue will light up on on that one puck on one fixture. It s crazy because it didnt due tht untill the firmware was updated. Also it appears as if the light that is having the issue is not as bright at the same settings as the other one. i have been dealing with justin at AI all week on how to set up my vegas when i got them and sync them with my ai nano . That has to wait till the end of the month when the wireless adapter comes out. the lights when they are at around 50 percent because i have them on acclimation right now are very bright and all the light pucks work but when you go into specializing the color scheme everything in that one light is just off. It must be the firmware. I have tried reinstalling it and resetting the lights but still it does not work. Getting a little upset at spending 500 a piece on lights and having ths issue. Wife is really pissed to say the least.

I didnt have any issues with the new firmware. Might i suggest just starting over and redoing the firmware update?

How would I do that though? The controller is easy enough just pull off the upgrade file and download the new one again and put it on . The problem was the controller updated the firmware on the lights automatically . How do I do that?

Does your controller list uv in the color schreme now? If so does it control any of the lights on your fixture?

Mine does not it works fine. I would just redownload it and do it again. Reset the lights beforehand. Hold the red buttons for 7 plus secs. Thats what id try.

It sounds like they are toast. If you want, instead of throwing them away I'll take them.

Sorry to bring an old thread back from the dead, but I am having the exact same problem with a used set of vega lights I just bought, and this is the only place I could find where someone mentioned this problem. Did you ever find a solution? Thanks

I know that a couple people had updated the firmware. AI had fixed the issue. Make sure you are running the latest firmware on the controller you are using.

Sadly, that didn't change anything even after several tries. Any chance you know where to get a copy of an out dated driver (one that is not 2.49)?

I do not have any copies of the past firmware. Besides contacting customer service, I am not sure what to do.

i have had this happen before and in my experience, the controller located hydra instead of vega. I would try the setup again making sure you are selecting vega as the light option

Yeah, I was thinking it was treating it like a hydra too, but it says that it found 2 vegas. I don't see an option to select hydra or vega, it just searches and finds the light on its own when you select wireless.
