Its time to change my water filters so I'll be putting in an order to AWI here early this week if anyone needs anything. I'll probably place the order Tueday evening.

Its free shipping at $175 which we probably won't get, but the other specials are a free TDS meter on orders over 39.95 and of coarse the 10% club discount.

OMG I am still sitting here debating on the typhoon 3 or the typhoon 3 extreme. Thoughts?

Extreme all the way. The tds active monitor is amazing! And the added fleet volume is great. I wouldn't bother with the III

The typhoon 3 is definitely sufficient for your needs and at $100 cheaper it may be easier to get the better half on board with the purchase. I have the extreme III and the pressure meter and dual TDS meter are definitely nice features to have, but not necessary, and besides that you can add a pressure gage and dual TDS meter to any unit for about $40. The150GPD is overkill even on my big tank. My 75gpd I had before kept up with my needs just fine. If you have the money laying around the extreme is nice, but I think you would be more than happy with the Typhoon 3 as well.

"This replacement filter pack is for all 10' standard size residential five stage R.O. systems.a sediment, two carbon blocks abd a final taste filter." Do you use those filters for your reef tank, or a house filter for drinking water? The taste and odor filter threw me off and I wanted to double check I was adding the item you wanted.

Ya that's the one and I wasn't sure about that either. This is my first time ordering from them and I need the replacements for my brs rodi unit and this looked as close to what I needed.

are there any filters or membranes or anything that allow you to just connect to a faucet or a bucket somehow? I live in an apartment and obviously cannot connect to any pipes or anything so i have been just buying my water which gets pricey.... as you can tell i have no idea how these work...

Oh yeah. In an apartment just get a filter with a copper punch. Most will shop with one from awi.

The question os what are you looking for? And rodi kit can be implemented in an appartment. You just need to know what lind of room you need. From there the plumbing is pretty straight forward.
