Well naturally I know people dissappeared during the summer months, and mine was mostly racing season which has came to end, except for building a couple cars from ground up for the next season.  But the last couple days I have really did some updating, and alot more will be happening here soon.  Today I finished up the top for my 28 Biocube that I have been working on slowly.  The plan is to use my old rock for now, and get the tank up and running with new sand, and then cook my rock and add it at a later time. You, might all wonder why I need to do this a little quicker than normal.  Well I got a mandarin the other day and I am working on training it to eat frozen mysis, which is a job in itself.(PS he is eating some) But I would like to have some pods going to supplement so that he does make it threw this okay.  So right now with all my new coral and a breeder net its really tight so hopefully this weekend everything is all straightened out.  Also this weekend I will be setting up my Reef keeper lite so I am getting really excited to get things up and running smoothly.
And the whole kicker of this is.  I finally got a new job, in which I will have tons of time to be spending on other things, and I will be able to be more involved in some things!!!!!

I will add pictures this weekend and I will also most likely do a write up on the mandarin deal, so that other people can see how easy it is with a little time and patience.  Adams wants 90$ for a ORA Mandrain and this one was 30$ see the money difference.

I'm in a similar position with my tank. Took the summer months off and now it's time to start paying a little more attention to things. Perfect timing because I dropped a decent chunk of money on some very nice SPS frags, after getting rid of some other stuff to make some space and upgrading my lighting. It's time to buckle down and finish the "rebuild". Going to dry out my old rock to eliminate my aptasia problem, finally, and simultaneously add some new dry rock that I picked up and redo the aquascaping. After that it's only a matter of a bigger skimmer, ditching the canister filter and possibly a new heater. By the end of the winter I should have a pretty sweet SPS system set up. Might even find the time to post some of the old equipment I have sitting around.

I'm anxious to hear about how well the mandarin goes.

Yea with racing im busy usually 3 nights out of the week depending on how the weekend goes, and then saturday and sunday is fill with it too.  Its pretty much a part time job.  The mandarin is defintally going decent, and I will be more than happy to write a review and give some steps.  I need to figure out a couple more things and hopefully I will get it to eat soon.

Try some frozen blood worms for your mandarin. Many people including myself have reported good results.
